Josh builds systems that run like a well-built machine

Josh's focus is engineering a business into a dependable system: one that runs reliably, scales cleanly and does not hinge on any single person. The technology is always the means, never the point. The goal is a company that works harder than its owner has to.

The road to JABstract ran through government, schools and retail systems

  1. Government systems: data migration specialist and senior tech

Josh worked as a data migration specialist and senior technician for state and federal government, holding multiple certifications to work on and with federal property. On a two-year contract, he migrated the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) and Department of Veterans Affairs offices from Windows XP to Windows 7, office by office.

  2. Polk County, Florida: getting a school district talking

He helped roll out VoIP phone systems across a dozen-plus schools in the Polk County school district, as part of the team that brought modern communications district-wide.

  3. Walmart systems: logistics, learned from the inside

As an L2 technician in Walmart's systems department, Josh gained an A-to-Z understanding of how real logistics work. That knowledge now powers the inventory-management and service systems he builds for clients.

  4. 2024: JABstract, full-time

In 2024 Josh left Walmart to go all-in on JABstract full-time. Working across many industries means he does not carry one best practice. He carries the best of many, tuned per industry.

Rare range is put to work on your business

Logistics, end to end

Years inside enterprise systems mean the software he builds understands how a business truly runs, not how a template guesses it does.

Software that fits you

Custom inventory-management and service systems, shaped around your workflow instead of forcing your team into someone else's.

Many playbooks, not one

Clients across many industries give Josh a deep bench of proven approaches and the judgment to pick the right one for your field.

Josh builds for the long haul

Josh builds every engagement the way he built enterprise systems: carefully, methodically and to last. He is thinking about your next five years, not your next invoice.

That means a dependable foundation clients can grow on: no lock-in games and no disappearing after launch, just steady, plain-spoken work and systems you actually own.

Built to last

Every system is scoped and built for durability and growth, so it keeps paying off long after launch day.

Owner-operated

You deal with the person actually building your systems. Decisions happen fast and nothing gets lost in a chain of hand-offs.
