Founder & CEOFounder & CEO of JABstract
Josh Blake has spent more than a decade building, migrating, and maintaining the enterprise systems that large organizations depend on. That engineering discipline is the foundation of JABstract — a company built to bring the same reliability and rigor to growing businesses.
Josh’s focus is engineering a business into a dependable system — one that runs reliably, scales cleanly, and does not hinge on any single person. The technology is always the means, never the point. The goal is a company that works harder than its owner has to.
Josh worked as a data migration specialist and senior technician for state and federal government, holding Top Secret clearance and multiple certifications to work on and with federal property.
On a two-year contract, he migrated the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA), and Department of Veterans Affairs offices from Windows XP to Windows 7 — office by office, without missing a beat.
He helped roll out VoIP phone systems across a dozen-plus schools in the Polk County school district, as part of the team that pushed modern communications district-wide.
A decade as an L2 technician in Walmart’s systems department gave Josh an A-to-Z understanding of how real logistics actually work — the exact knowledge that now powers the inventory-management and service systems he builds for clients.
In 2024 Josh left Walmart to go all-in on JABstract full-time. Today he personally manages 100+ clients, which means he doesn’t carry one best practice. He carries the best of many, tuned per industry.
Ten years inside enterprise systems means the software he builds understands how a business truly runs — not how a template guesses it does.
Custom inventory-management and service systems, shaped around your workflow instead of forcing your team into someone else’s.
100+ clients across industries give Josh a deep bench of proven approaches — and the judgment to pick the right one for your field.
Federal-grade experience and clearances mean the discipline of high-stakes environments comes standard on every project.
Josh builds every engagement the way he built enterprise systems — carefully, methodically, and to last. He is thinking about your next five years, not your next invoice.
That means an established, dependable foundation his clients can grow on: no lock-in games and no disappearing after launch — just steady, plain-spoken work and systems you actually own.
The next five years, not the next invoice
Every system is scoped and built for durability and growth, so it keeps paying off long after launch day.
Work directly with the builder
You deal with the person actually building your systems — decisions happen fast and nothing gets lost in a chain of hand-offs.
